Job Description This position is responsible for acquiring, translating and programming vast amounts of data into understandable, relevant and actionable information. Interfacing with business units (finance, HR, etc.) across the organization, this position will use their expertise to provides business insights, build efficiencies and design automation of information to design and deliver reports and drive self-service reporting capabilities across the organization. This position is responsible for administration of various server / application environments including but not limited to optimization, backup, restore, upgrade, testing, security design and management, user provisioning and other administrative related tasks. In addition, it is critical for this role to be actively engaged in developing and promoting effective Data Governance through documentation and adherence of standards to assure that the information produced and provided by the Analytics operation is accurate and trusted as the source of truth. Essential Job Functions Responsible for identifying, understanding, acquiring and transforming data from source systems to effectively populate a centralized data warehouse. Responsible for programming data from landing zones (lake) into the data warehouse as designed and instructed by the Architect team. Partnering with business unit teams to understand their operational needs, recommend solutions, assure compliance with standards and develop processes and tools that help automate effective data delivery and reduce resource utilization and redundancy. Highly engaged in the overall Data Governance of the organization. It is imperative that all positions in Analytics take an active role in the development, documentation and on-going maintenance of a highly effective enterprise Data Governance operation. Responsible for managing all upgrades, modifications and changes that impact any existing Analytics asset as changes occur in source systems, tools and infrastructure supporting data operations and enterprise reporting. Responsible for developing and maintaining appropriate security access to data to assure compliance with all BSMH compliance and IT security policies. Responsible for developing effective auditing and validation processes between the source systems and the centralized data warehouse to assure accurate and timely availability of data. Responsible for developing, testing and delivery of reports and extracts from the centralized data warehouse using appropriate BI tools. Responsible for administration of various server / application environments including but not limited to optimization, backup, restore, upgrade, testing, security design and management, user provisioning and other administrative related tasks. Qualifications REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION: BS Degree SPECIALTY/MAJOR: Information Technology, Information Management MINIMUM YEARS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE: 5 OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Must be proficient with SQL, experienced with various database programs, MS Office and BI tools. Must have a deep understanding of the Healthcare system and experience working with clinicians, operations and business leaders. Server / Application administration experience. OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES PREFERRED: Experience with BI tools like Tableau or other popular BI Applications, ETL tools like Informatica or DataStage. Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts a plus.
