The Accounting Manager will be responsible for Inventory accounting, Fixed Asset accounting and other accounting functions, including general ledger, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. Job Title: Accounting Manager Location: Cincinnati, OH A Short List of Your Tasks and Responsibilities * Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory is properly valued in the financial statements * Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate any discrepancies or variances * Close activities - work on North American activities including sales accounting, Cost of Sales, and numerous balance sheet accounts. * Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis * System expert - BPCS and CEA expert on how the systems work - expert at printing reports, accessing data and making changes that impact where information flows in the financial statements * Capital Manager - leads the CER process for ALL capital spending across North America including approval management, system maintenance and reporting. * Reporting manager for Formica North America - lead the monthly parent company financial reporting and ensuring that all reports are completed timely and accurately. * Business support for Warehousing, Freight, A&SP and Selling expenses (work closely with these departments to support questions and provide information). * General activities include audit support, miscellaneous projects (sales reporting, profit analysis, etc.) We're Looking for A Self-Starter Who Meets the Following Requirements: * BA/BS degree in Accounting or relevant field required * Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting, finance or related field * Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * High level of integrity and professionalism Preferred qualification * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification * Public Accounting experience Here's How We Take Care of You (And Your Loved Ones): * Medical & Prescription Drug Coverage * Dental Coverage * Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare and Dependent Care) * 401(k) Savings Plan with Matching provision * Paid Time Off * Paid Holidays * Tuition Reimbursement * Life & Voluntary Optional Life Insurance * Short-Term Disability Coverage * Voluntary Long-Term Disability Coverage * Employee Assistance Program * Employee Product Purchase Discount Surfacing Solutions, Designing Opportunity, Building People: With our amazing portfolio of stylish, durable, and responsible products, Formica Corporation is one of the most recognized names in the building industry.
