Summary

Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing - Kroger Customer

We are seeking a talented SVP Sales & Marketing who will have direct control of the Marketing, Sales & Operations services team locally, driving financial and strategic results across all Marketing and Sales business units who do business or have the potential to do business at Kroger and/or with brand clients who do business with Kroger. As one of the key leaders of the company, build and directly manage a Marketing/ Sales/ Operations infrastructure in a rapidly changing and growing environment through strategic planning and hands-on efforts while driving flawless execution.

The SVP also plays a pivotal role in the design and management of client programs/contracts and customer platforms. Partners with the new business development team to support the close of new business deals. Responsible for overseeing and managing the P&L for the total business unit of Marketing/ Sales/ Operations within the agency.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage client P&L versus budget; manage client revenue and gross margin forecasts; identify, plan, and budget headcount and expenses required to meet growth plans.
Develop and manage innovation and growth strategies, forecasting, business development, sales and marketing, client relations, and deal structure.
Strategize and drive formal client program reviews; manage to all client/contract expectations.
Develop and implement business operating plans which formally identify additional business opportunities and specific ways to strengthen our service delivery with our clients.
Lead all performance management, talent evaluation, succession planning and career pathing initiatives to minimize turnover and maintain high staff morale.
Foster an environment that expects/rewards excellence, initiative, accountability, and growth.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of and/or experience operating within the Kroger ecosystem, past or present
10+ years of experience in General management managing client expectations either personally or through a team; Previous experience with managing 15+ direct reports; reporting directly to enterprise c-levels
10+ years successfully managing a full P&L, budgeting, and forecasting; 10+ years managing business development/sales/marketing and relationships, strategy, deal structure
Experience with business strategy and creative conceptual product or service design in consumer goods/services or agency environment is desired
Proven track record of successfully growing a business; Strategic planning and execution skills
Ability to exude/gain confidence & trust with clients and internal staff

Position Summary

Responsible for managing and leading the Marketing/ Sales/ Operations teams that manage a portfolio of clients as well as the field, client services and other functional teams who are focused on managing client relationships, results, contracts, pricing, profitability and overall execution of program goals. Plays a pivotal role in the design and management of client programs/contracts and customer platforms. Partners with new business development team to support the close of new business deals. Responsible for overseeing and managing the P&L for the total business unit of Marketing/ Sales/ Operations within the agency.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Growth/Business Management

Develop and manage client P&L versus budget; manage client revenue and gross margin forecasts; identify, plan, and budget headcount and expenses required to meet growth plans
Develop and manage innovation and growth strategies, forecasting, business development, sales and marketing, client relations, and deal structure
Author and augment vision to reinvent, reinvigorate and drive growth
Partner with other company business lines while ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and corporate shared services to gain support for key business initiatives
Manage and drive all business growth, people, operations and culture strategies to ensure growth and retention goals and objectives are met while maintaining service level standards and holding teams accountable to achieve successful results

Customer and Client Value
Strategize and drive formal client program reviews; manage to all client/contract expectations

Retain and grow all client relationships
Oversee client teams, to ensure that client business deliveries and value plans exceed client expectations

Operations

Build and/or ensure process and infrastructure to enable scalable, profitable growth
Develop and implement business operating plans which formally identify additional business opportunities and specific ways to strengthen our service delivery with our clients

People/Talent/Culture

Utilizing internal/shared resources champion all efforts that directly or indirectly impact positive engagement and employee job satisfaction
Lead all performance management, talent evaluation, succession planning and career pathing initiatives to minimize turnover and maintain high staff morale
Ensure proper performance tracking and reporting systems are in place to hold staff accountable for their personal work quality & productivity as well as client specific results
Continuously identify, motivate, train and develop high-impact talent
Foster an environment that expects/rewards excellence, initiative, accountability and growth

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct Reports
- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports
- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements:

Travel is an essential duty and function of this job
Travel up to 40%
