This is an opportunity for a driven senior marketing leader to have the freedom to execute marketing strategies towards new growth channels, work with and mentor a growing inbound sales and marketing team, and join in the financial rewards of our increased per-share value. -Summary (Our Future Revenue Leader)We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales and Marketing to join us in this mission. Reporting to the CEO, this role will help build and manage our go-to-market strategy, lead our business development (sales), customer success, partnerships and marketing functions, and deliver our annual revenue targets. Together with the executive leadership team, you will execute the corporate strategic plan, focusing on expanding new customer segments and partnerships and growing business with repeat customers. You will be instrumental in creating future strategic plans with the goal of scaling revenue streams through high-value sales, customer success and strategic marketing.This role reports to the CEO and is preferred to be located in greater Cincinnati, but remote exceptions will be considered. -Responsibilities (How you will contribute):

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Build and manage the company's go-to-market strategy and operational plan, including business development (sales), 3PL & corporate partnerships, and marketing functions. Establish our Ideal customer Profile, segment our target markets for pursuit, build demand for our offering and acquire new business from new and repeat customers. Set and achieve our annual revenue objectives.
  • Revenue: Deliver closed/won sales objectives for the year by driving an increased pipeline of opportunities through marketing, winning dozens of net-new customers each year and expanding repeat business from hundreds of existing customers.
  • Business Development (sales) : Lead the business development team of 3 in prospecting, qualifying and converting net-new business customers for our delivery & logistic solutions. Build analytics, forecasting and reporting model for new business. Manage and coach the team on sales methodology and process, prospecting strategy, sales stage progression, presentation and proposal execution and contract negotiation.
  • Customer Success: Guide our customer success team of two in expanding business from repeat customers by segmenting our customer base, applying a customer engagement strategy customized for each segment and driving growth from repeat customers through engagement and upsell. Manage and coach team on sales methodology and process, account engagement and expansion, presentation and proposal execution and contract negotiation. Expand our high-value strategic customer base through personal relationship building.
  • Partners: Build and manage our 3PL partnerships and Corporate accounts with strategically aligned ICP's. Expand our partner network by identifying new partners, building relationships and formalizing our partner management processes and systems.
  • Marketing: Oversee marketing organization of 2 focused on building qualified pipeline and expanding brand awareness of our solutions. Build demand at the top of the funnel through website, content marketing, advertising, events, social and solutions-oriented Account-based Marketing (ABM) campaigns targeting prospective retail, contractor supply, auto, and manufacturing accounts. Manage proposals and RFP responses, market segmentation, research and insights, competitive intelligence and overall brand messaging. Own and optimize our HubSpot sales and marketing platform and 3rd party data enrichment partners.
  • Team: Manage the 5-person go-to-market team, provide day-to-day coaching and support their career development. Be ready to quickly recruit, onboard, and streamline new team members into our go-to-market strategy.
  • Partner with other members of the executive team to execute the corporate strategic plan, grow revenue and continually improve our operations.
  • Travel as needed to events, new business presentations and repeat customer meetings to build demand, win new business and expand existing customer business.Qualifications (What you will bring)
    • 10+ years in diversified revenue-focused leadership roles, driving repeatable revenue growth and success in owning and delivering a revenue target
    • Proven track record of growing revenue through marketing, branding, sales and strategic partnerships
    • Proven experience developing and executing business strategy
    • Significant general management and P&L experience
    • Ability to craft and execute a business strategy
    • History of decision-making based on business metrics
