Job Description:
Summary of Responsibilities:Responsible for creating the content
strategy for Touchstone Investments. - Develops and executes upon a
detailed plan for the creation, management and promotion of
engaging content in the form of product-related content (fund fact
sheets and commentaries), sales presentations, events, email,
social media posts, blogs, webpages, and similar. -This strategy
will support the business' sales goals by identifying the types of
content that will help pursue those goals, and by tracking usage
performance. The content is expected to both drive traffic to our
online platforms, and sales teams, while providing value to
customers and prospective customers. -
- Proactively collaborates with internal customers/sales and
product management to define and deliver business and/or project
needs.
- Oversight responsibility for agencies, internal/external
writers, videographers, voice-over artists, and graphic designers
to ensure that all content meets standards of quality, matches the
in-house style guide, and is completed before the deadline.
- Serves as subject matter expert for content creation -Content
Strategy, Alignment to Marketing Plan -
- Developing Touchstone's content strategy in conjunction with
the Head of Marketing and other Touchstone team members
- Participates in the sales and marketing planning process
- Serves as subject matter expert for content creation
- Implementing the content strategy - including, overseeing the
content providers, monitoring the usage/performance of all content,
and identifying ways to improve the performance and growth of the
content strategy
- Working with, the Touchstone team and other company employees
to develop new content ideas
- Independently or as agency liaison, track engagement levels of
all content and ensure the latest SEO techniques are implemented;
rationalize content for efficiency
- Producing performance reports to help track the performance of
the content strategyExecution, Project Management, Collaboration -
- Provides copywriting, proofing, editing services and content
coaching to ensure creative, compelling and consistent
deliverables.
- Overseeing/mentoring content providers - including writers,
videographers, and designers
- Oversees development and maintenance of brand management guide
and visual identity guide
- Ensures content and visuals meet marketing objectives for
quality, accuracy, messaging, target market and compliance
- Leads effective teams on assigned projects as needed, ensuring
timely and quality delivery of final materials
- Works collaboratively with other shared services, including
Legal, Compliance, Public Relations and Corporate Communications,
Marketing Digital Center of Excellence, Printing, Purchasing,
etc.
- Monitors project schedules to ensure that deadlines are
met
- Streamlines workflow and processes where appropriateSupports
Sales Initiatives -
- Manages content in support of campaigns, conferences and
collateral
- Represents the Enterprise at applicable industry conferences or
groupsPublic Relations -
- Assists with corporate media/PR functions
- Assists with coordination of advertising initiativesOther -
- Works independently to stay current on industry and marketing
best practices
- Stays informed of compliance regulations affecting content
creation and distribution -
- 5+ years of experience producing and/or editing content -
preferred
- 2+ years of managing a team of content creators (agency or
in-house) - preferred
- Proven written communication skills with the ability to convey
compelling and technical information to internal and external
customers in a clear, focused and concise manner - required
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage, interact and
communicate with all levels of staff and management - required
- Proven experience coordinating multiple projects/assignments
simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a
timely basis - required
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills -
required
- Ability to conceptualize, develop and implement marketing
content and campaigns in a variety of formats and media -
required
- Knowledge of publications and media within the financial
services industry - preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - required
- Experience managing in a matrixed environment - preferred
- Knowledge and experience of the financial services industry,
specifically asset management and mutual funds - preferred
- Relevant securities designations (SIE, Series 7 and Series 24)
expected within 6 months of hireWork Setting:This position
primarily works in an office setting and remains in a continuous
stationary position for long periods of time while working at a
desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or
while in meetings. - Position requires substantial movement of
wrist, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.Educational
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications,
English, or a relevant field - required Computer skills and
knowledge of hardware & software required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Google
Analytics - preferred
- Proficient in using content management systems (such as Seismic
or SiteCore) - preferred
- Proficient in using major social network business tools (such
as LinkedIn) - preferredCertifications & licenses (i.e. - Series 6
& 63, CPA, etc.):None required.Position Demands:Extended hours
required during peak workloads or special projects.
