Job Description:
UniFirst Corporation, a leader in providing workplace uniforms
and protective workwear clothing in the United States, Europe, and
Canada, is seeking a dedicated Fleet Technician to maintain and
repair our service fleet vehicles. This position is crucial in
ensuring that our delivery operations run smoothly and efficiently,
allowing us to meet our commitment to excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing detailed
inspections, maintenance tasks, and repairs on a variety of vehicle
types within our fleet, contributing directly to the preservation
of UniFirst’s reputation for reliability and service. Perform
routine vehicle maintenance and repairs, including but not limited
to engine systems, electrical components, and suspension. Conduct
detailed vehicle inspections to ensure operational efficiency and
safety. Record and maintain detailed logs of maintenance work and
repairs. Collaborate with the fleet management team to optimize
maintenance schedules and practices. Respond to service calls and
roadside emergencies as needed. Ensure compliance with federal,
state, and local vehicular regulations. Assist in vehicle inventory
management and control of maintenance supplies. Adapt to new
technology and techniques for vehicle maintenance as they emerge.
In-depth knowledge of automotive engines and electrical systems.
Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools. Ability to work
independently and manage time effectively. Strong troubleshooting
and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and
documentation skills. Medical Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
