Northrop Grumman - Xetron in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a cleared or clearable Principal or Sr. Principal Hardware Test Engineer to join our growing Team.

Essential Functions:

  • Candidate should be familiar with the test specifications, test plans, test procedures and reports on complex systems.
  • Candidate should have experience in the creation and maintenance of test procedure and test plan documents.
  • The ideal candidate will be familiar with the collection, measurement, and evaluation of data including the use of a wide range of test equipment such as RF Power Meters, Frequency Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, DMM's and Oscilloscope's.
  • Candidate will be familiar with the use of LabVIEW and MATLAB software.
  • Testing is performed on analog, digital and RF circuits and systems.
  • Candidate should be a self-starter, with limited oversight needed to complete their assignments.
  • Candidate may participate in program team meetings or interface with system/design engineers to develop test plans and test document.
  • RF circuits experience is a huge plus.MSRAD

    This position can be filled at the Principal or Sr. Principal Level.

    Basic Qualifications for Principal Level:
    • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of technical experience; Masters' degree with 3 years of experience; PhD and 0 years of experience.
    • Familiar with the test specifications, test plans, test procedures and reports on complex systems.
    • Experience in the creation and maintenance of test procedure and test plan documents.
    • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Level:
      • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of technical experience; Masters' degree with 6 years of experience; PhD with 2 years of experience.
      • Familiar with the test specifications, test plans, test procedures and reports on complex systems.
      • Experience in the creation and maintenance of test procedure and test plan documents.
      • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
        • Master's degree in an engineering discipline
        • Experience in the test and troubleshoot of systems, circuits and assemblies.
        • Experience in programing skills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Expect, PowerShell
        • Experience in test rack and test system development.
        • Ability to use LabVIEW and MATLAB software.
        • Active Top Secret clearance.This position offers the option of a 9/80 work schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

          Salary Range: $83,800 USD - $125,800 USD
          Salary Range 2: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD

          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
