We are never satisfied with the status quo and are always in search of better and more efficient ways of solving problems.The RoleWe are seeking a full time Mechanical Analysis Engineer who will help customers solve challenging and complex problems in state-of the-art gas turbine engines. You will use a mix of commercial and customer proprietary codes and will likely work on various sections/modules of the engine. Willingness to dive in and figure things out is key. Collaboration and a forward thinking approach are important to ensure we remain the supplier of choice for our customers. You will also be the face of Quest Defense to your customers. Through listening to customer challenges, and building on your previous experiences, you will find creative approaches that will solve their most difficult engineering problems. Potential Job FunctionsUse computational tools to perform FEA for gas turbine components and turbomachineryWorking in a team setting, helping co-workers solve issuesGeometry and mesh preparation, model setup and analysis, post-process and prepare high-quality presentations of results according to customer requirementsPrepare and present reports on findings in technical reviewsWork with other engineers, customers, and vendors as a team to efficiently support the program plans and schedulesDevelop innovative ideas and productivity improvements to improve cost on customer products and team deliverablesWork within budgetary and schedule constraintsAs an engineering services provider employee, be willing to try different services and accept new responsibilities as projects end and new projects begin.QualificationsThe successful candidate is detail oriented and highly collaborative. There will be a significant amount of interaction with the customer's teams. Listening to the customer's issues and offering proactive solutions is critical to building a strong relationship with this new customer.0-1 years of engineering experience, gas turbine industry preferredBS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineeringAbility to meet deadlines, work under time constraints, maintain composure and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience with ANSYS Classic and Workbench strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to quickly learn new methods, techniques, and approachesDemonstrated communication skillsWork well in a team oriented, collaborative environmentAre meticulously detail orientedEnjoy people and dynamic teams with diverse experiences. We have fun together!US Citizen with active DoD secret clearance is required due to nature of work (or ability to obtain one)Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentOffice environments, work must be performed in secure environments on-site at the customer facilitySubstantial amounts of telephone and computer work Heavily regulated industries with strict adherence to proceduresFlexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving earlyAbility to use personal transportation to visit customer locations or Quest Defense offices
