Job Description:

One of the largest stainless steel manufacturing organization is looking to bring A Digital Engineer onto their team. This person will be working on 1-3 projects at a time depending on size and priority of the project. These projects will be centered around optimization throughout the stainless-steel mill. They will be collaborating with different engineering teams within the mill to analyze where process improvements can be made and then implementing those changes through automations and application developments. They will also be responsible for assisting different teams to access data that is needed to analyze and enhance processes. The Digital engineers will be working in an office within the mill 90% of the time and will be encouraged to spend 10% of their time out on the floor to educate themselves on manufacturing processes and teams. They are expected to wear boots, long sleeves, and pants for safety precautions. Training will be customized to the candidate depending on their background and previous experience. During training they will take analytics and SQL courses through an online platform called Coursera.
Experience with chemical / civil/ and mechanical engineers

Jupyter or Project Jupyter experience

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (open to hiring candidates right out

of school)
At least three to five years of experience with SQL (client is using MS SQL) to make analytic project-based decisions.

At least three to five years of experience with Python for automations/ analytics/ and web application development (versions 2.7, 3.3 or greater for utilization of Jupyter).

Development experience of any kind for web-based applications (C# is preferred, they are open to additional tech stacks).
