Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic for our Plum Run facility located in Peebles, OH.

What You'll Get To Do

• 
  
• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as cranes, bulldozers, graders, and conveyors, used in construction, logging, and surface mining.
  
  
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
  
  
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  
  
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  
  
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  
  
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  
  
• Repair and assess malfunctions, rebuild, and perform maintenance on construction equipment, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools.
  
  
  
  
  
  What We Are Looking For
  
  
  
  
  
  • 
    
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience (or formal technical training) in mechanical troubleshooting and repair
    
    
  • Some welding experience desired
    
    
  • Open pit mining operations and aggregate products experience
    
    
  • Frequently lift 25 pounds; occasionally lift to 70 pounds
    
    
  • MSHA training a plus
