Job Description:

The Judge Group is currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer for a large commercial / industrial component manufacturing firm in the Cincinnati, OH area. The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible forCOMPENSATION: 95k to 120k (Relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate)MUST HAVE: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) Electrical Engineering or a related
MUST HAVE: Experience designing, developing, and implementing electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for hardware systems
MUST HAVE: Experience with regulated products
MUST HAVE: Experience designing complex electrical systems (Analog, digital and microprocessor circuits and digital signal processing. Electrical noise mitigation. Low DC power consumption. Integrating acoustic based sensors)
MUST HAVE: Some experience mentoring / supervising junior engineersRESPONSIBILITIES:

Map to product design requirements

Serve as a mentor to junior engineers

Provide guidance on project development timelines, resource loading and best practices
-
Provides analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of electronic parts
-
Develop test strategies for devices and systems
-
Analyzes equipment to establish operating data
-
Conducts experimental tests and evaluates results
-
Performs stress and performance tests (Circuit boards, processors and wiring)
-
Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
-
Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems
-
Ensure conformity to standards and customer requirements
-
Generate architecture for functional components
-
Deliver hardware designs (Prototype, Beta, and Production release)

Troubleshooting and failure analysis for existing products
-
Participate in technical design reviews
-
Develop documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and charts
-
Collect, analyze, summarize service issues
-
Develop statement of work
-
Develop budgets, estimating labor, material, and construction costsREQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) Electrical Engineering or a related
-
5 -10+ years of related experience
-
Experience with regulated products
-
Experience designing complex electrical systems (Analog, digital and microprocessor circuits and digital signal processing. Electrical noise mitigation. Low DC power consumption. Integrating acoustic based sensors)

Designing devices that communicate via cellular modem modules
