Job Description:

Senior Quality EngineerWe are currently hiring a Sr. Quality Engineer for our manufacturing facilities in the KY/OH area.-- This position is responsible of providing technical and applied expertise and leadership in the areas of food science, food regulations, statistics, problem solving, and continuous improvement projects to meet consumer and regulatory expectations.-- The incumbent will serve as a technical expert and drive enterprise-wide projects across multiple facilities.Responsibilities:Provide project management and organizational leadership for moderate to complex special projects both in assigned facility and across the enterpriseIdentify areas of need to drive greatest improvement in food safety, quality, and product consistency for the company to drive business results.-- Use enterprise Statistical Process Control (SPC) information as basis to drive insights and select project to improve quality and reduce wasteAct as technical expert and key resource for implementing processes and technologies and understand how they impact and/or integrate with other relevant systemsPartner with FSQ leaders and key stakeholders to maintain active work on prioritized list of projects with regular updates to progressProvide training to broader team of technical experts to assure appropriate skills to execute process improvementsDrive alignment between product specifications and process capabilitiesEvaluate customer complaints and implement resolutions to assure product safety, quality and consistencyUnderstand internal and external food safety & quality processes and report to facility leadership on quality issues, trends and opportunities with the purpose of driving continuous improvementWork with Production, maintenance, engineering, and PI&D to solve in-house quality concerns; review non-conforming product and recommend dispositionCoordinate and facilitate training for all employees in the areas of HACCP, GMPs, food regulations, and quality system execution (e.g., Infinity QS, GMPs, etc.) to ensure execution and appropriate documentation of quality management systemsSupervises, trains and develops subordinates, as assignedResponsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conductIdentify areas of need to drive greatest improvement in food safety, quality, and product consistency for the facility providing positive impact to plant driven metrics.-- Able to utilize and critically evaluate data from a variety of sources to identify root cause and lead teams towards resolution.-- Plant records & related information (e.g., SAP information)Identify, develop plan, and execute enterprise-level projects (in partnership with corporate FSQ, plant FSQ, company's Global Supply Chain, PID) focused on improving product quality, consistency, food safety & regulatory compliance.-- Effectively communicate plan, progress, and impact to key stakeholders.-- Effectively leads projects to completion in timely manner with demonstrated resultsDesign and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.-- Plan and conduct the analysis, inspection, design, test and/or integration of processes to assure the quality of ingredients, packaging, work in progress (WIP) or finished productUnderstand internal and external food safety & quality processes and report to facility leadership on quality issues, trends and opportunities with the purpose of driving continuous improvementApply continuous improvement tools (SPC, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) in problem solving, data analysis, and implementation of process improvements to drive product consistency and reduce product defects (consumer complaints, foreign material, amount of held product, etc.).-- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.-- Plan and conduct the analysis, inspection, design, test and/or integration of processes to assure the quality of ingredients, packaging, work in progress (WIP) or finished productResponsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conductWhat We Will Need From You:Education:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent.-- Master's degree preferredYears Of Related Experience:5+ years related experience (Quality Engineering with Six Sigma Green Belt experience preferred)Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Sound mathematical and basic food science understandingGood knowledge of statistics and statistical process control (SPC)Understanding of the manufacturing environment and basic production operationStrong computer skills and ability to learn technical softwareProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs with strong Excel skillsThe ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with demonstrated influence management skillsComfortable in small group and large group settingsMust be detail oriented, take initiative and able to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environmentAbility to solve problems ranging from basic to complexStrong project management skills.-- Understanding of food safety, HACCP and basic food regulatory regulationsProven people management and delegation skillsAbility to develop positive relationships and work cross functionallyWhat We Need From You:The desire to a make a meaningful difference.-- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.-- We need someone who competes to win!Authentic leader: direct communicator, able to build strong relationships across the company, with all levelsMust have great collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work closely with cross-functional teams**If you'd like to hear more about this opportunity and others we are currently working on, please contact Jeff Fee at jfee cps4jobs.com.JO:-- 132.23JF#LI-JF1--
