Responsibilities: Installation/Training - 80% Develops, optimizes
and trains on appropriate grinding processes for specific customer
applications to facilitate new machine sales or installation and
startup of sold machines Coordinates the setup and demonstration of
machines for customer demonstration purposes at the company’s
facility or the appropriate sister company’s manufacturing location
Installs new or modified CNC operated precision grinding machines
at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to
specifications Documentation/Proposals/ Miscelleanous-20% Assists
in the preparation of time studies, proposals, and presentations
for machine sales purposes Routinely uses knowledge of precision
metrology skills to perform tasks using various measurement
instruments May troubleshoot customer CNC programming and makes
recommendations & corrections Contributes in team meetings by
making recommendations for resolving customer issues Minimum
Qualifications (Education, Experience in Related Field, Skills,
etc.): Seven to ten years of applicable precision grinding
experience is acceptable or equivalent combination of education and
experience Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of CNC machine
technology, machine installation and applications with previous
experience in a manufacturing environment Grinding machine and
ancillary support equipment mechanical skills are required to
demonstrate the capabilities of assigned products for customers,
dealers, or staff Proven experience and ability to effectively
present training processes and information to customers in a
one-on-one or group setting. Excellent interpersonal communications
skills for interfacing with customers to provide training on
operations and precision grinding machine related setup Ability to
communicate effectively with customers, distributor sales staff and
colleagues using the English language Ability is required to
calculate proportions and percentages as well as applying the
concepts of basic algebra Ability is required to solve practical
problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where limited standardization or supervision may exist.
Ability is also needed to interpret a variety of instructions
provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Intermediate
skills in software associated with word processing, spreadsheets,
presentations, and other related business programs, as required
Preferred Qualifications (Certificates, Training, Licenses, and
Experience): Knowledge of implementing and documenting time cycle
studies Ability to speak, read, and write German Public speaking
and/or product presentation experience Other (Supervisory
Responsibilities, Physical Demands, Travel): Up to 70% travel
required The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50
pounds While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts The employee is
occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise
level in the work environment is usually moderate Ability to
regularly bend, stoop, kneel and reach Ability to stand for the
majority of the work day May supervise, mentor or train one or more
