Job Description:
Leidos is seeking an AFSIM Modeling and Simulation Engineer with
an active TS/SCI at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This
role combines strong technical expertise with excellent
collaboration skills, working alongside government personnel,
contractors, and a team of engineers and scientists to solve
complex challenges involving highly advanced systems. Primary
Responsibilities: Develop and integrate system models (satellites,
radars, aircraft, missiles, command & control) into a large-scale,
many-on-many AFSIM simulation environment. Collaborate closely with
a small, cross-functional team of government and contractor staff.
Create AFSIM representations of space and ground systems for AF/DoD
use, applying engineering judgment to address intelligence gaps and
accurately model real-world systems. Utilize CI/CD tools to test
and evaluate AFSIM models prior to delivery. Prepare documentation,
analytic reports, and multimedia products to support mission
objectives. Basic Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE, or related field with 8 years of
experience; OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
Equivalent experience, training, or certifications may be accepted
in place of a degree. Proficiency in C++ and Modeling & Simulation
(M&S) techniques. Experience with CMake and Visual Studio for
building and compiling AFSIM extensions and plug-ins. Experience
with AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and
Modeling), including extensions and plug-ins. Strong
English-language writing and briefing skills. Excellent
interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a highly
technical, collaborative environment. Ability to work independently
under tight deadlines in a mixed government-contractor setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in CS, CE, EE, or related
field. Prior experience at WPAFB, working with Intelligence
Community models and all-source analysis. Familiarity with radars,
aircraft, missiles, space vehicles, and tools such as MATLAB,

above. Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00 The Leidos pay
range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a
guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered

skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with
market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other
