Job Description:

Overview:--- This position requires the individual to possess strong organizational skills, time management skills, and communication skills.---Develop, manage, and accomplish Trailer Products service strategies that attains targets set by corporate objectives.---Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction within area of responsibility. ---Complete account responsibilities to cover a broad range of customers (OEM's, Dealers and Fleets).---Overnight travel required.Job Responsibilities---Involvement in all emerging technical issues (new product issues that have no resolution).---Report all emerging issues to Director Field Service and Warranty Systems.---Provide technical support to the field as directed from the Director Field Service and Warranty Systems and OnTrac Technical Managers. ---Support all Regional Service Managers in their technical roles with Trailer Products expertise.---Involvement with the District Managers and Region Sales Managers when additional technical support is needed or as directed by the Director Field Service and Warranty Systems. ---Participate in monthly program/communication meetings to assist in a final solution to emerging issues and to be privy to new issues with Director of Field Service and Warranty Systems, OnTrac Technical Managers and business unit engineering/quality/program management personnel.---With Regional District Managers, National Account Managers and Regional Sales ManagersTrailer products field/service support---Work with and support Aftermarket to assure product line support is in place and inventory levels are setup available to support customer demand---Establish and validate repair procedures, techniques and kits for Meritor products, including determine Standard Repair Times for specific services and repairs associated with Meritor products---Support development of service collaterals (Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins,ect)---Manage Trailer Products technical training as directed by the Corporate Training Manager and Director Field Service and Warranty Systems per the following.---Manage Partners In Education technical facilities and/or OE/Fleet training facility within their specific region to determine they have resources for Meritor training. Training product/equipment---Publications---Diagnostic software---Training programs---Special tools---Assist in training program development.---Assist in development of technical diagnostic procedures.---Assist in training aid/equipment development.---Assist in scheduling instructor led training (both corporate and regional).---Delegation of training to DM's as deemed necessary.---Develop and support; training schedules and required materials with RSM Team---Deliver technical training programs to internal and external customers.---Assist in the design and construction of training aids for training program support.---Assist in external customer technician competitions.---Meet all budget and reporting targets.---Travel and entertainment budget.---Training and call reportsQualification:---Bachelor degree or 2 years technical degree in motor vehicle studies with emphasis on mechanical structures and suspensions preferred.---10 years' experience working in the class 8 trailer industry preferred.---Must be able to prepare documents, reports and presentations using Microsoft Office suite applications and other tools---Ability to travel up to 75% (as required) - North America---Ability to work independentlyMeritor is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
