As a Senior Director of Business Development, you will take a lead role in hunting, cultivating, and closing new business opportunities within the Midwest and Eastern US regions. We are in an exciting phase of growth, having recently partnered with a new state of the art honey production facility in Ohio, which will enable us to better service our large 5 star B2B Manufacturing clients east of the Mississippi; alongside that, we are scaling our passion for bee preservation by elevating our 10+ year Save the Bee mission into a full-fledged nonprofit. To be successful in this senior-level business development role, you will exhibit an inspired and results-driven approach to targeting and cultivating new relationships that are in alignment with GloryBee's brand, mission, and strategies. The ideal candidate will be located within the Midwest region, within a reasonable distance to Cincinnati, Ohio, or another Midwest metropolitan city. Job functions for this full time salaried and incentivized role include:

Develops and builds a pipeline process for the entire sales departments and allocates prospects accordingly; monitors and adjusts strategy based on the team's skill sets and acumenActively solicits business from existing and future manufacturing prospects that align with GloryBee's core competenciesCollaborates with Executive leadership in the development and planning of new sales strategies, proposals, or presentations Implements and leads the charge to scale revenue with new business in manufacturing and foodservice; monitors sales data and provides accurate reporting and key business insights to executive leadership and pertinent partiesPrepares for and represents the Company at trade shows, conferences, conventions, and meetingsCoordinates and builds internal cross-functional partnerships with marketing and other cross-functional departments Provides exemplary leadership to the Business Development team as an active seller, closer and managerDevelops, coaches, and mentors direct reports as applicable; creates accountability that drives performance Establishes and implements sales training tied to revenue growth and profitabilityWhat We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's Degree in business or related fieldSignificant Business to Business and Business Development sales experience, ideally working with food commodities (such as: honey, liquid and dry sweeteners, grains, oils, spices, coconut products, nuts, etc.), with at least 10 or more years' leading multiple reports in a senior level Business Development capacity (15+ years' is preferred)Experience in the food industry, commodities, or ingredients sector is highly desirable; having a passion for bees and honey is a big plusDemonstrated management experience and honed leadership skillsSignificant rolodex of existing clients in the Midwest or East Coast (including B2B Manufacturing in multiple categories)Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to draw in and captivate a variety of audiencesDemonstrated track record of closing clients with a hunter/maverick sales approachResults and commission driven; tenacious and professionally persistentAbility to coach and be coachedCreative, big picture thinker with a willingness to take risks outside the boxExcellent presentation skills with a keen ability to address a variety of audiences through a variety of mediums (verbal, technology driver, written) Strong Microsoft Office skills Ability to travel regularly, as needed (35-55% of the time)Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, free of accidents and incidentsCurrently residing in the Midwest; preferably close to a major hub airport, for ease of access to our Ohio facility and MW/EC regional clientsWhy You Should Join GloryBee:
