Job Description:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Sales and Trade Finance, you
will be a partner to Sales leaders, regional sales teams, and
customer leadership/sales support teams to provide financial
expertise, leadership, support, and reporting. The role supports
half of Conagra's domestic sales, leads a team of five within Sales
Finance, and manages some sales finance wide responsibilities
across the team. Responsibilities supporting the regional sales
teams include reporting and analysis on customer profitability,
support of customer planning, driving margin enhancement, and
communication with internal stakeholders. This individual will be a
lead for other regional finance managers and across the Sales
Finance team, working to shift the work and shape the vision of the
team, as well as the change management needed. Effective
leadership, agility, partnering with sales and cross functional
teams, and a continual improvement mindset is critical. Minimum 10
years related experience.You Will:
- You will provide financial leadership and analysis to regional
SVPs and sales teams. This will involve the ability to assess
business needs, resolve risks and opportunities in a timely manner,
and clear communication of issues/business results.
- Lead finance wide-projects and perform comprehensive financial
analysis. Models will vary depending on needs, but may include ROI,
customer analyses, customer meetings or analyses, competitive
analyses, investment reviews, new items, mix, pricing, etc.
- Lead monthly meetings on items such as volume, trade, and
advertising & promotional spending. Identify and communicate key
financial and business drivers in order to influence decisions.
Understand key inputs such as pricing, promotional changes,
customer investments, impacts to merchandising due to business
dynamics. Actively communicate changes to both Finance and cross
functional business partners by providing specific, actionable and
forward-looking commentary on the various changes as well as
guidance on potential risk and/or opportunities.
- Collaborate with peers and the Sales Finance team. Lead among
the team and with cross functional partners to shape the work
within Sales Finance and work through the change management
needed.
- Lead finance wide-projects for the Sales Finance team, such as
annual planning, setting sales targets, customer mergers, and sales
order & invoice reports. Projects will vary depending on
needs.
- Manage a team of five responsible for various, regional
customer support. Elevate the team by recruiting, coaching, and
developing people. Optimize workplace productivity; lead, motivate,
evaluate, challenge, and reward employees.
- Contribute to month-end/quarter-end trade promotional
management activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks,
accurate P&L management, and compliance with company
controls.You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA
preferred
- Minimum 10 years of professional general business and financial
experience
- Previous experience managing a team required
- Experience in project management, tools, system upgrades,
roll-outs, and/or automation preferred
- Knowledge of financial systems and general accounting
concepts
- Experience with SAP or other software tools preferred
