• Highly Visible role with Executive LeadershipAbout Our ClientOur client for the Director of Finance - Automotive Americas is a global manufacturer and supplier to Automotive OEMs. They have been recognized as Supplier of the Year and continues to be a global leader for their product offering.
  
  The Director of Finance - Automotive Americas is a newly created position based on need and will be a key member of the management team in the Americas. This Director of Finance will report to the Global Vice President of Finance and dotted line to Vice President Automotive Americas. The Director of Finance will manage a team of 3-4 in the Americas region and have strong interaction with the Global Automotive Management team. This person would be on track for future development opportunities including a successor to the current VP of Global Finance.Job Description
  • Lead and serve as the Head of Finance for the region for the Automotive division
  • Provide executive leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives and offers recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities
  • Responsible for timely, accurate, and consistent reporting of financial information, including full monthly, quarterly and annual closing for the business unit
  • Report to executive management customer profitability and analysis of performance of results and variance vs budget
  • Actively participate in Executive Management Team meetings; provide updates relating to Financials and other areas of responsibility.
  • Review business performance and results vs variances to budget, reforecasting and previous performance
  • Partner with Global FP&A to review operations costs and SG&A
  • Establish and report against KPIs for the business units and corporate
  • Responsible for preparing the annual 3-year and 5-year business plan
  • Ensure accounting policies adhere to Group Policies
  • Oversees the organization's risk management including establishing and improving internal controls and procedures
  • Responsible for the company's Information Technology function including the company's ERP system and the IT technology used for enabling business efficiency
  • Personnel evaluation and/or development of a strong accounting and finance team driving performance while developing and growing team's skillets
  • Work on strategic projects including M&A (mergers and acquisitions), IT projects, and other various projects as needed
  • Travel 20-30% as needed in the Americas regionThe Successful Applicant
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or similar required
    • MBA and/or CPA/CMA highly preferred
    • 10-15 years of experience in FP&A and/or Corporate Finance
    • Minimum 3 years of experience is a Sr. Financial Leadership position
    • Ability and proven track record working with various departments - sales, finance, accounting, HR, engineering, manufacturing, etc.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing operational improvements to increase revenues, decrease costs and improve cash flow
    • Must have manufacturing industry experience preferably in automotive
    • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and products, business intelligence systems
    • Extensive knowledge and experience working with large ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
    • SAP experience highly preferred
    • Business minded and strong team player mentality
    • Strong communication skills written and verbal
