The Opportunity The Senior Procurement Category Manager is responsible for acquiring, structuring and negotiating third-party contracts for mainframe, distributed and desktop software products and services (on-premise and SaaS), and physical and virtual data centers and related services. Serves as a Procurement subject matter expert, partnering with business leaders to optimize financial and operational benefits, and with risk managers to mitigate the risks associated with third-party relationships The Senior Procurement Category Manager leads the charge in establishing and implementing company policies and procedures towards internal purchases. Finally, this person will also work with vendors, negotiating purchases to ensure Worldpay gets the best price possible, reducing incidental and extraneous costs, all while providing maximum value to internal stakeholders. The Day-to-Day Responsibilities: * Leads and manages procurement engagements with cross-functional internal teams, including needs analysis, market analysis, competitive intelligences, RFI and RFP development, cost and proposal analysis, deal structuring, contract negotiation, and implementation development. * Negotiates service provider agreements, statements of work, order forms and other partnering arrangements. * In partnership with business leaders, develop short and long term sourcing category strategies, and execute multiple, medium to high risk and complex projects concurrently. * Develop relationships with key stakeholders to identify current and future business requirements and strategies for third party provider relationships. * Continually maintain knowledge of market and industry trends and professional best practices. * Network externally with industry and international experts to facilitate effective strategic intelligence. * Demonstrate continuous value through innovation, savings and cost avoidance. * Performs activities related to the Procurement of products and services for internal company use and resale. * Implements and communicates company policies and procedures for Procurement. * Reviews purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements. * Monitors the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts. * Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. * Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. * Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. * Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel. Qualifications: * Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent experience. * 5 years of current sourcing experience focused on computer software and data centers. * Good working knowledge of legal and contracting requirements. * Broad knowledge of risk management practices and principles. * The ability to understand and analyze financial data to support source selection decisions. * Effective communication (written/oral/presentation) and influencing skills. * Delivery focus with project management skills. * CFA, CPM or equivalent preferred. * Strong relationship building/relationship management skills.
