A hospital in Ohio is seeking a Clinical Pathology Physician to provide quality patient care for a Locum Tenens assignment.
Assignment:Dates: 4/24-5/1 (additional coverage needs are likely from May on)Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4p and weeknight/weekend callSetting: OutpatientCall: Weeknight and weekend callVolume: See belowPatient Ages: AdultsProcedures: NACases: Providers will do their own grossing(total volume split by providers)200-250 reads/day.30-40 surgical cases.10 cytology cases (surgical nephrology, general pathology, GI, breast, minimal hematology, gyn and non-gyn)NO Neuro, Peds or AutopsiesSupport Staff: 2 pathologist (when our provider is covering vacation they will be the only), 2-3 histotechs, 1 tech assistant, 1-2 cytotechs. Histotechs typically do cutting and pathologists do the interpretationsEMR/Charting: EMR - medetiche and Dictation - Dragon
