Job Summary This position is required to provide a general dentist
who will help provide quality dental care to both children and
adults in a variety of community outreach and mobile outreach sites
(including but not limited to local schools, daycare centers,
nursing homes, prisons, etc. as deemed necessary and requested by
the department) as well as at the primary site in Brooksville and /
or at surrounding satellite locations.
This position provides strategic direction and resources for the
Division of Public Health Dentistry of the University of Kentucky
College of Dentistry. The individual in this position will work
closely with and report to the Division Chief of Public Health
Dentistry for clinical functions. Primary duties for this general
dentist position include direct oversight of all clinical
functions, patient care and other duties specific to individual
community projects, grants and contracts. In this capacity, this
dentist must have strong clinical skills particularly in the areas
of restorative dentistry and exodontia. This individual may also be
expected to participate in resident/student education.
