Job Description:

We are seeking laboratory professionals to work in our state-of-the-art Anatomic Pathology laboratory located in Cincinnati, OH. - This position works alongside the technical staff and will be assisting in the processing of histology samples. - With the proper educational background and routine histology training you are eligible to pursue a technical position in the lab providing a career path within LabCorp. -The work schedule for this position is: Monday - Friday (11am-7:30pm)Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Science is a plus
• Experience in a medical or clinical laboratory strongly preferred
• Prior experience with histological/pathological samples is a plus
• Comfortability handling biological specimens -
• Ability to accurately identify specimens -
• Experience working in a team environment -
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office -
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color-blind testJob Duties/Responsibilities
  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing including tissue and needle aspirates
  • Unpack and route specimen to their respective staging areas
  • Accurately identify and label specimens -
  • Loading and unloading staining instrumentation
  • Matching tissue slides and blocks to requisitions
  • Replenishing staining reagents as needed
  • Scanning requisitions into lab and filing away tissue blocks
  • Assist with procedures at the hospital locations
  • Process all necessary paperwork to process and submit specimens
  • Perform audits in order to resolve any outstanding issues
