RVT Registered Vascular TechWe are seeking a patient centric, personality driven, solution seeking, professional expertise focused, and innovative team candidate for Milford and Springdale Ohio location.The position is a full-time or (or part-time) lower extremity RVT to join our team as we are growing and expanding beyond our current staff. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing all necessary lower extremity ultrasound scans, assist in treating patients at the direction of the Physician, advise Physician and monitor treatment quality and safety, educate, and motivate patients and participate in practice building and administrative activities as time permits.The ideal candidate is an experienced lower extremity RVT who has diagnosed and treated patients with acute or chronic vein conditions, usually overlying with other comorbidities in the vascular department of our large podiatric practices. These diagnoses may include Chronic Venous Insufficiencies, DVTs, Varicose Veins, Spider Veins, and other venous issues.DUTIES: Perform patient evaluation and assessment prior to ultrasound examinationComplete all appropriate forms at time of each scan to ensure that we are compliant with IACs written ultrasound protocolsEnsure that all maps and ultrasound forms are properly scanned into the software system under each patient until the time an electronic medical record is available to capture this information.Perform ultrasound examination of patients to create a Venous Flow Map for purposes of the physician recommending a safe, effective treatment planAssist provider when needed in proceduresPerform all additional scans indicated by the treatment plan at the direction of the Physician to ensure the efficacy of treatment and safety of the patientsWithin safety limits, adhere to the standard time allotments for each scan type to maintain the smooth and efficient flow of patients throughout the scheduled day.Working with the operations staff, review and update the ultrasound schedule to ensure good patient care and safety and to maintain the patient load at an efficient and productive level.Maintain equipment and manage the supply inventory to ensure continued and effective operationsClean and maintain ultrasound room after each treatment and at the end of the day to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.When not actively engaged with a scheduled patient, assist other staff members with their duties in the spirit of teamwork to maintain an effective and efficient operationMaintain flexibility with given schedule and in team spirit provides support and coverage for other clinics in need of Ultrasound coverageAssist during Image Guided Injection treatment sessions with the appropriate directions regarding needle placement and recommendations for volume and strength of solution to be injected.Ensuring the technical ultrasound training of trainees to ensure patient care is not compromised and the trainee is benefitting from the trainingEnsuring optimal operation and maintenance of equipmentComplying with IAC standardsMinimum 5 years' experience in lower extremity vascular ultrasound.Current registration as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or current registration as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International or RPhS (granted by CCI).PTO Build rapport with patients by instilling an elevated level of confidence in our providers ability to fully address their medical concernsAssist the Physician in the following Helping to re-explain the physicians treatment plan to the patient and how that treatment plan addresses the patients specific needs if needed. All other duties as assigned.RequirementsUS EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Must be RVT or RVS.
