Pay Information $2,139 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years in Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Level 1 Trauma experience License: IN or Compact License required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates must have NIHSS certification in hand to be considered. Candidates must be flexible with weekend requirements. Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends during their contract. Travelers must agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow while on assignment. Description: The position requires caring for neuro critical care patients as well as medical, surgical, and trauma ICU patients. The traveler may be expected to float to different levels of care such as Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU. There may be unit charge nurse responsibilities that require training and resources. Candidates must have the ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and to perform IV starts. Call-ins for contracted shifts will require making up the day or adding the shift to the end of the contract. All travelers are required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
