acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications:
BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Two (2) years of acute care RN experience. -
Experience with left and right diagnostic and interventional heart
catheters, pacemaker and AICD implants, loop recorders, Impellas,
balloon pumps, TEE procedures, cardioversions, tilt tables, STEMI
patients, and peripheral IV access. - Patient ratio: 1:1. -
Proficiency in EPIC charting. Description: A professional nurse is
accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered
Nurse (RN) focuses on safe and effective patient and
family-centered care. The RN is responsible for assisting in
maintaining a financially stable unit while promoting professional
development through evidence-based practice and education. The RN
supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the
caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN is
responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating
the plan of care. The RN emphasizes patient and family comfort,
education, and satisfaction. The RN utilizes educational and
professional experiences for the delivery of quality care and
mentoring of staff. Job Responsibilities: Assessment: Performs
assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as
warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make
sound independent decisions. Development & Implementation:
Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care, reviewing
and revising the plan as indicated. Collaborates with patients,
families, and interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources
appropriately to support the needs of patients and families.
Evaluation: Monitors and documents responses to clinical
interventions. Education: Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and
evaluates education specific to patient and family needs as
appropriate during their stay and at discharge. Leadership:
Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions
as a mentor and preceptor. Encourages teamwork and identifies
opportunities for improvement. Participates in quality, safety, and
service improvement efforts, implementing practice changes as
needed. Complies with regulatory standards. Requirements Required
