Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with BLS and ACLS certifications for a Med/Surg Tele and Renal unit, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a valid OH or compact RN license. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a 28-bed Med/Surg Tele and Renal unit within a hospital setting - Patient population includes telemetry and renal patients, some with trach, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen requirements - Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5 with two techs per shift - Nurses expected to read and interpret telemetry every 4 hours using EPIC - 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required - Dysrhythmia exam required, with study guide provided - Drips managed include Cardizem, Nitro, and Heparin - Phlebotomy staff available for peripheral blood draws - Charge nurses are out of ratio on days and in ratio on nights - This position does not accept local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Holiday coverage is required as part of the rotating schedule - Study materials are available for on-site testing requirements /n /n Requirements/n - Active OH or compact RN license required - Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience required - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Previous Med/Surg Tele experience required - Must pass EKG/Dysrhythmia testing within two attempts - Preferred experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis) and EPIC EMR /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-659271.
