Monthly) What You’ll Do: As a Behavior Specialist, you’ll play a
meaningful role in providing support to individuals and their
caregivers by coordinating and providing services in Applied
Behavior Analysis, function analyses and assessment, behavior
acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills. The
Behavior Specialist will also oversee programming of and provide
ongoing support and supervision to Behavior Technician (BTs), and
parents as it relates to the implementation and documentation
associated with Skill Acquisition and Behavior Support Plans.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be in the process of obtaining
Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social
work, Education or related field required BCBA certification or
expected to have BCBA certification upon 12 months of hire 3-5
years’ experience implementing/supervising ABA based educational
and behavioral programming and curriculum development Exemplary
data collection Proven training abilities (one-on-one overlap, team
teaching, or in a group) Demonstrated clinical knowledge of many
children with autism at different areas of the ASD spectrum
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exemplary
attendance and professionalism Preferred Qualifications: Must be
able to function independently and have flexibility, personal
integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff
and support agencies. Must be able to relate to and work with ill,
disabled, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the
programs. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions
when circumstances warrant such action. Licensure/Certification:
BCBA certification or expected to have BCBA certification upon 12
