Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Dayton, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,079 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Critical Care Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Long-Term Acute Care Hospital, trach & vent, and wound care experience License: Must have state RN license Certifications: ACLS and BLS certifications required Must-Have: - 1 year recent LTACH, trach & vent, and wound care experience - ACLS & BLS certifications must be attached to submission - State RN license must be attached to resume Description: Critical care registered nurses provide care for patients with severe medical issues. They assess patient conditions and plan and implement patient care plans. They treat wounds and provide advanced life support. They assist physicians in performing procedures. They observe and record patient vital signs. They ensure that medical equipment functions properly and adjust ventilators as needed. They administer intravenous fluids and medications. They perform suctioning as necessary. They collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team. They respond to life-saving situations, following nursing standards and protocols for treatment. They act as patient advocates. They provide education and support to patient families. Critical care nurses may also care for pre- and post-operative patients. Some serve as case managers and policy makers, while others perform administrative duties. The ICU setting includes a mix of ICU and medical-surgical patients.
