Transplant Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift:
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience
License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemotherapy and
Biotherapy Certification Must-Have: - Stepdown, critical care
experience - Blood administration - Electrolyte replacement - Neuro
assessment skills - Central line dressing changes - High risk and
hazardous drug administration Description: The purpose of this
position is to provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the
Bone Marrow Transplant unit. Responsibilities include managing
hematology and bone marrow transplant patients. The nurse will be
engaged in providing blood and electrolyte replacement, long-term
IV therapy, and chemotherapy administration. Patient ratios will
vary from 1:1 to 1:3, depending on patient needs. The nurse will
also perform neuro assessments and collaborate with physical
therapy teams. Equipment utilized includes vents, Alaris pumps,
monitors, and patient lifts. Ideal candidates will be team players
who are proactive in seeking knowledge and enhancing their skills.
They should demonstrate a commitment to patient care and treat
patients and staff with respect and kindness. This role requires a
willingness to help colleagues and participate in team-oriented
tasks. Dress code includes approved scrubs and attire without
unauthorized branding. Candidates must be open to floating to
similar units, which may include critical care and stepdown units.
