Job Description:

What you will be doingThe Talent Development Facilitator is part-time, 24 hours per week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with flexibility as needed. The person in this role provides and supports company-wide learning by facilitating and designing instructor-led, online and virtual training and also supports additional learning and engagement initiatives.The person in this position will be part of the talent development and recruitment team in Human Resources (HR) and will collaborate with team members to ensure top-quality corporate learning activities throughout the organization.Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:Facilitation and Design* Delivering instructor-led (ILT), online (OLT) and virtual courses and other learning solutions that engage the learner and produce defined outcomes* Creating a positive learning environment that ensures skill acquisition where learners feel safe to try new skills and behaviors and individual differences are respected* Designing, developing, updating and editing curriculum, facilitator guides, participant guides, PowerPoint content, activities and materials* Auditing and reviewing learning resources (ILT, e-learning, job aids, etc.) as needed* Ensuring that learning solutions are aligned with defined business goals and the Ohio National Learning Institute's talent and professional development standards* Interacting with Ohio National leaders, relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure sessions are scheduled, communicated and provide successful outcomes* Following up with managers and leaders after sessions to ensure learning is used* Challenging personal development of facilitation skills by enhancing knowledge of products, materials, programs and testing new and updated ways to facilitate the delivery of the content to meet the needs of the learners* Identifying areas for improvement by seeking self-development opportunities and continuous feedback* Collaborating with the talent development team to develop content that uses adult learning principles and meets training outcomes* Using training evaluation methods, feedback and insights from business partners* Measuring the effectiveness of the learning sessions and identifying areas of improvement in the programs and processes* Providing reports to identify strengths and development opportunities for participants and programmingLearning and Engagement Initiatives* Serving as a talent development liaison to the Associate Resource Groups, Associate Mentoring Program and internal facilitator initiatives to ensure development is in line with other Ohio National initiatives* Assisting with the reporting as related to engagement surveys* Consulting with internal departments and areas to support learning initiatives by ensuring they adhere to adult learning principles, organizational best practices and the best overall final product* Proposing and initiating learning ideas and alternatives where appropriate* Staying current and use adult learning principles and other talent development theories and best practices when facilitating, designing and partnering with othersAdditional Duties* Serving as a backup for talent development and recruitment team and HR Department as needed* Partnering with HR counterparts to support and assist with special projects* Aiding in the set up for instructor-led training and other learning eventsWhy we are different* Paid time off plus paid company holidays* successfulRequired* A bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least two years of professional experience aiding the learning of adults through facilitating, developing, designing and implementing learning activities to improve the performance of organization, departments or individuals* Experience with building and sustaining strong internal and external relationships* Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel* Detail-orientation, professional demeanor and strong verbal and written communication skills* Willingness to obtain the LOMA FLMI Level 1 Certificate within two years* Have no relatives employed at Ohio National Financial ServicesPreferred:* A master's degree in human resources, instructional design, education, human resource development or organizational leadership and over four years of experience within a corporate setting* Additional assessment and curriculum certifications* Prior industry and talent development experience along with Learning Management Systems (SumTotal) and authoring tools* Experience in setting up automated systems to improve efficiencies* Willingness to obtain the LOMA Associate, Customer Service (ACS) designation* Knowledge of principles and procedures for other areas within Human Resources (recruitment, selection, compensation and benefits, wellness, etc.).What your work environment
