The Principal Technology Architect creates the framework and design of new products, enhancements or systems. Utilizing specialized knowledge in software architecture, he/she is able to determine core server infrastructural needs, capacity plans, storage requirements and more. He/she will convene with cross-functional team members to determine needs, feasibility and plan. The Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Responsible for assessing, defining and championing the IT solution architecture strategies, principles, policies and standards in alignment with the IT strategy and governing their use; coordinates with project teams to create, document, assess and/or validate the application and infrastructure solution designs for specific systems. Responsible for the research, evaluation, and selection of application, technology, and infrastructure standards. Coordinates and aligns with Enterprise Architecture to ensure consistency across IT delivery models Leads the evaluation and design of the Finance technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Creates/Refines/Evolves project and technology roadmaps and define migration plans to mitigate the gaps between the current and future state. Maintains positive relationships with IT and business leaders to effectively promote and communicate IT architecture value proposition. Collaborates with IT stakeholders to apply IT strategy to future state architecture and develops roadmaps to realize that future state. Maintain knowledge of emerging technology and software trends focused on driving modernization and efficiency in the Finance/Accounting systems areas Coaches and mentors less senior architects, makes recommendations for additional skills needed or helps facilitate acquiring desired skills and building depth within team Collaborates with project teams to understand requested capabilities and recommends the right set of technologies to meet the needs. Provides infrastructure capacity recommendations for new applications and systems; recommends new architectures where applicable Qualifications: Minimum 8-10 years of Oracle EBS Financials experience including at least one project as a solution architect. Vertex and Frontier are desired but not required. Proven experience relating to business and IT stakeholders ability to build partnerships with business and speak "non IT" to help provide transparency and promote education/understanding of application architecture and current/future recommendations. Proven examples of gaining credibility and trust with business partners and IT peers. Experience operating in an agile environment, using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Proven experience working with Oracle as a vendor to build, run, and maintain application architecture and platforms Strong process knowledge in financials environment accounting, consolidation and reporting, and ability to lead solution design discussions to meet customer business needs. Familiarity with Oracle cloud architecture concepts and hybrid models of on-premise/cloud deployments Experience with Oracle solutions in a global environment Experience with Oracle application upgrades, migrations, conversions Understands localization and statutory financial requirements.
