Vice President - North America, Sweet Goods - Erlanger, KY/Cranbury, NJ, Decatur, IL This is an exempt level position. Position Summary: This position's primary focus will be focused on building strategy to aggressively grow our North America Sweet Goods business and will work collaboratively with other cross functional team members to drive pipeline, Improve win rate, meet/exceed aggressive sales growth targets and service customers effectively. This role reports to the President - Global Sweet Goods & Dairy Job Responsibilities: Key member of the Sweet Goods & Dairy global market segment team. Provides thought leadership to create and drive global strategy execution. Builds global competency in the sweet goods sector Creates/executes regional 5 year strategic plans leveraging W2P H2W with cross functional team members; Outlines critical needs to accomplish strategy. Provides routine updates Manages the regional P&L for the market segment; other KPIs include sales, margins, pipeline growth, win rate, OTIF Partners with and creates effective relationships within the regional functional leadership. Builds support and gain buy in for the regional SG strategy. Leverages the relationships to execute on key customer opportunities - business link between internal partners and customers Works effectively with Product Business leaders/teams to coordinate opportunities and ensure supply Works with the regional and key account sales teams to foster relationships at customers; ensures high level engagement on key opportunities. Also drives pipeline growth and customers wins by leveraging the ADM pantry and our unique value proposition Works with the pricing team to ensure competitive pricing yet strive for margin improvement Engages with Carb Solutions and AS&O team members for cross selling opportunities Works with marketing and CD&D to create go-to-market plans and regional innovation pipeline for growth; influences and participates in regional where to play/how to win sessions identifying unique value propositions for ADM Identifies critical technology needs for the sweet goods business and works with Science & Technology team to create solutions Identifies and assesses M&A and other partnership targets; influences capex needs Works with internal partners to assess and create business cases including recommendations for business model execution and investment opportunity. Works with S&OP, Operations, Quality and other teams to accomplish OTIF orders for customers Identifies new ways of working to drive effectiveness and efficiency, including digital solutions Participates in and may speak at industry events such as conferences, tradeshows or other related events. Other duties, as needed Ability to travel, up to 35% of the time Required Skills: Strategic vision and passion for creating the future Intellectual curiosity about business, technology and business models Superior networking, interpersonal and relationship building skills Professional demeanor with excellent influencing, decision making, communication and presentation skills Adaptable and able to solve problems in uncertain situations Strong business, financial and investment acumen Comfortable working in matrixed environments Collaborative team player capable of creative and independent thinking Self-motivated with ability to influence cross functional teams and to collaborate across many different disciplines Networker with ability to see possible opportunities for ADM; able to juggle multiple opportunities Demonstrated ability with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Education Requirements: Bachelors or Master Degree in relevant field - Marketing, Business Management/Development, Sales; A technical degree in Food Science or other relevant technical degree can be considered but other commercial experience is required MBA preferred Required Experience: Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in the Food Industry with solid track record in marketing, product management, strategy, technical sales and/or business development Experience running a business with P&L experience in the food industry (Sweet Goods, Dairy, Beverage or Savory) Experience in leading and managing teams to launch new technologies, concepts and ideas to customers Experience working corporate, matrixed environments Desired Experience: A combination of commercial and technical experience is a plus Experience working in multi-cultural environments, desired Experience using digital solutions to drive results Physical Requirements: Must be able to travel up to 35% of the time Additional information: Relocation assistance is available with this position.
