We're looking for an engineering leader to come join our Payroll Engineering group at Gusto. This team is one of our strongest product development groups and is looking for their next leader. We're looking for an engineering leader to come join our Payroll Engineering group at Gusto. In this role, you'll empower a team of 6 software engineers working on product development at Gusto. In addition, you'll work closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to scope product requirements, drive strategy, and execute. This team is one of our strongest product development groups and is looking for their next leader. This group works on features that help our sales and Go To Market groups to drive better fit and alignment with our prospective customers. Here's what you'll do day-to-day: Hire, lead and grow a team of six (6) talented engineers Work cross functionally with design and product management to own the team's vision and strategy Work with cross-functional partners in engineering and data science to realize the vision Here's what we're looking for: 5+ years software engineering experience 3+ years software engineering management experience Experience in highly cross-functional environments for highly complex products preferred. Experience in bootstrapping teams from the ground up preferred. Prior experience in growth, front end engineering and user experience optimization preferred. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted from $185,000 to $215,000 per year in Denver & most remote locations, and $200,000 to $233,000 for San Francisco & New York.
