Learn more Operating Company: Advanced Sterilization Products category: Corporate location: Irvine, California, United States Posting Date: May 11th 2021 Job Schedule (FT/PT): Full-time Job Level: Individual Contributor Requisition Number: ADV001618 The Project Lead will lead New Product Development and Life Cycle Management projects, including developing cross-functional resource/budget estimates, project planning, execution and monitorization. The Project Lead will participate in the planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Project Priority List (PPL), as part of Lean Portfolio Management. The Project Lead will participate in planning and execution of process improvement initiatives as part of Policy Deployment. In accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations and ASP policies, procedures and guidelines, this position will: Lead New Product Development and Life Cycle Management projects, enabling cross-functional teams to navigate through all activities required to design, develop and commercially release products Develop resource and budget estimates for projects, develop project work breakdown structures, lead the planning, execution and delivery of projects to the marketplace Monitor projects, create and maintain summary scorecards capturing project status Utilize and strengthen established Project Management processes Effectively use Fortive Business Systems (FBS) tools and processes, such as Visual Project Management, Risk Register, Daily Management, Problem Solving and Kaizen, to accelerate product delivery to the marketplace Participate in the planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Project Priority List (PPL), as part of Lean Portfolio Management As a member of the PMO team, own and/or support continuous improvement Participate in planning and execution of process improvement initiatives as part of Policy Deployment Responsible for communicating project updates, issues and opportunities to next management level Exhibit and lead on the Fortive 9 set of core behaviors: Customer-obsessed, Adaptable, Delivers Results, Strategic, Leads with FBS, Innovates for Impact, Inspires, Exhibits Courage, and Builds Extraordinary Teams Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications/Licenses, and Affiliations : Thrives in a results oriented, dynamic, fast-paced environment, while focusing on stabilizing processes Process and results orientation A history of building, strengthning and/or using sustainable and innovative standard work and systems Demonstrated ability to improve processes and sustain improvements Demonstrated ability to maintain positive and proactive collaborations cross-functionally Demonstrated ability to bring about change and serve as a champion for others success Creates an environment that encourages risk-taking and ensures inclusion of varied perspectives Flexible, positive and creative thinker with the proven ability to develop and implement innovative processes/solutions Competence in data analysis and problem-solving Ability to prioritize and make tradeoffs to achieve goals Strong, organized project lead who sets clear goals and standards of accountability for the project team Not easily overwhelmed by change, resilient and comfortable with ambiguity.
Accountability mindset, good project lead temperament, self-reliant, and can navigate a culture that values a lean and efficient use of resources Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively, implement effective lines of communication and control, and to lead and influence multi-disciplinary project teams Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project Years of Related Experience : 3 years of related experience, at least 1 year experience in the Medical Device industry field required; Demonstrated success in the management of complex programs / projects in Engineering/Technical field.
Preferred prior experience in Fortive Business Systems (FBS) tools and processes, such as Visual Project Management, Risk Register, Daily Management, Problem Solving and Kaizen Experience launching new products to market from concept to launch preferred. Experience in some product development / sustaining phases required.
