Specialist, IT System Support Summary Serve as frontline technical support staff for local and remote personnel to obtain technical support for PC workstation hardware, software and connectivity to network systems. Work closely with other with team members. Perform PC desktop support, troubleshoot and repair hardware and software, and address other technical issues in a timely manner. Document activities within the assigned Help Desk system, Install, monitor and maintain hardware providing Local Area network (LAN) services. Assist in support of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) equipment and services. Monitor and document Operations system What you'll do: ------------------- Resolve operational problems within the defined schedules and service level agreements. ------------------- Analyze root causes of operational malfunctions and provide resolutions. ------------------- Handle escalated issues and follow-up on outstanding issues promptly. ------------------- Develop preventive measures and document issue resolution procedures. ------------------- Manage job calendars and flows to ensure timely completion. ------------------- Recommend process improvements to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. ------------------- Evaluate current operational processes and recommend improvements. ------------------- Monitor system operations and troubleshoot problems. ------------------- Assist in budget preparation and resource allocation for support services. ------------------- Install, support and maintain network and system tools. ------------------- Manage job scheduling tool and monitor repair activities. ------------------- Maintain daily logs of operational issues and maintenance activities. ------------------- Contribute to business meetings and report on issue status. ------------------- Develop support plan to prioritize and resolve multiple issues. ------------------- Address customer issues promptly and accurately. About you: ------------------- Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience is required. ------------------- 5+ years' experience in an IT Systems infrastructure position. ------------------- 2 years' experience in the credit card industry, preferred. ------------------- Strong knowledge of risk/underwriting/accounting concepts and methodologies. ------------------- Strong program management/project management/execution and delivery oversight; Project Management certification a plus.
