Description:Mazak Machinist ( $20-$32/hourly) 1st ShiftPay: $20-$32/hourlyShift: 1st (6:30am 5:00pm)JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIESThe Machinist works in the Machining Department and is a skilled Machine Operator who has a thorough understanding of the entire manufacturing process from start to finish. Responsibilities and job duties include: Operating CNC machinery and equipment, as assigned, to manufacture parts to required specifications Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy to the required specifications and completing assigned inspection and job traveler paperwork Set-up machines, programming of machines, tool selections, and identification and implementation of improvements to the manufacturing processes Supervising and assisting with the maintenance of machines Ensuring finished parts move to the next operation upon completion Informing Machining Lead of any problems or improvements of the manufacturing process Maintain good housekeeping practices including cleaning work area and inspection equipment Other tasks as assignedJOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS High School education or equivalent CNC Programming certification or equivalent preferred Advanced math skills and blue print reading Thorough understanding of machine program and ability to make tool offsets Use of SDS sheets and basic machine shop safety Must be able to stand at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds Possession of personal basic hand tools is preferred
