Job Description:
I. General Summary: Maintain day to day customer support for the
in-house developed Scalable Processor Architecture (SPARC) system,
as well as related systems. II. Essential Job Functions: A. Provide
software support using Visual Studio - Visual Basic/C#. B. Provide
software support using VB.net C. Provide front line support for
technical issues (L1 and L2). D. Conduct systems training for users
and handle follow-up functionality questions and on-going education
tasks. E. Follow-up on TBJ global systems support requests to
ensure completion. F. Work with IT Management to ensure all
activities are consistent with established TBA IT standards and
expectations. G. Work with Engineering, Business, and IT
communities throughout the TBAGC to identify opportunities for
improvements to existing processes. H. Maintain a positive working
relationship with customer users, IT technical staff, and
business/functional staff at all TBAGC. I. Assist in developing
testing (i.e., System and User Acceptance Testing) for new
functionality and rollout of products and services. J. Work with
customer to identify improvement requests and assist in
prioritizing work. K. Develop specifications for hand-off to
development team. L. Interface with customer on status of projects
and support issues. M. Maintain support documentation including
architecture, design, and training documents. III. Minimum
Qualifications/Requirements: Education: * Bachelor's degree in
Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field, or
equivalent combination of education and relevant
experience.Experience: * Greater than six (6) years of relevant
experience required. * 1 - 2 years of software development
experience preferred. * Visual Basic .NET development experience. *
Visual Studio experience. * SQL Server /Transact-SQL experience. *
Web development experience. * 1-2 years of customer (user) support
preferredPersonal/Technical Skills: * Strong attention to detail. *
General business knowledge. * Flexibility in a changing
environment. * Hands-on, self-starter with a strong work ethic. *
Ability to manage complex, long-term projects. * Good math, problem
solving, and analytical skills. * Ability to perform
responsibilities with minimal supervision. * Able to work in a fast
paced, multicultural work environment. * Active listener with
excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to
communicate and work well with all levels of the organization. *
Ability to function both independently and with good judgment in a
team environment. * Ability to interact with and work well with
individuals from multiple departments and locations. * Strong
organizational and planning skills and capability of managing
multiple tasks with tight deadlines. * Skill in collecting and
analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and
drawing logical conclusions.Language Skills: * Strong verbal and
written communication skills in English. * Japanese or Spanish
would be helpful, but are not required. Computer/Software: * Solid
understanding of information systems and their effect on processes
and controls. * Solid working knowledge and experience with
Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS
Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Outlook, Internet,
Oracle, etc.).IV. Work Environment/Conditions: Office: Open Office
Environment, moderate noise level. Plant: N/A Travel: Must be
willing to travel up to 20% of the time.V. Physical Demands:
Ability to sit and work on a computer for extensive periods of time
is required. While performing the duties of this job, the team
member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be
capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of
time and is occasionally required to lift up to 30
