With nearly 30 years of expertise, OMI is the world leader in manufacturing natural odor eliminating solutions for industrial, commercial, and consumer applications.We are looking for a motivated Quality Supervisor to join our growing team!*Job Description for Quality Supervisor: *The Quality Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily workflow and quality of laboratory tests performed on raw materials, finished products, and other samples within the Quality Control laboratory. This individual will work on projects with the Research & Development team and will have the opportunity to learn how to use a GCMS. This individual will guide the Quality Control Chemists on new product development. This position will report directly to our Chief Scientific Officer.*Job Duties of Quality Supervisor: ** Provide daily supervision of chemistry staff, including performance reviews, training, timecards, time-off requests, and providing technical and quality direction.* Manage day to day prioritization of routine, in-process, stability, and finished product work.* Work with management to maintain working schedule of all work flowing through the lab.* Support staff by performing analysis and validating results as needed.* Perform lab analysis utilizing prescribed SOPs and official analysis methods.* Perform routine quality control to ensure quality of work.* Perform QA for QC team and production including updating SOPs.* Set up, adjust, maintain, and operate laboratory equipment.* Calibrate laboratory instruments to specified technical requirements.* Troubleshoot in analysis and equipment when quality does not meet specifications.* Maintain quality protocols for testing area and implement preventative practices.* Maintains inventories of chemicals, supplies, and SDSs.* Submit recipes for production to use and approve.* Formulate and produce new products for QC testing.* Learn and work on GCMS following R&D lead.* Required to work with R&D Scientist II on a rotating basis.* Performs other duties as assigned.*Experience/Qualifications of Quality Supervisor: ** Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry required. Master's degree a plus.* 1+ years' supervisory experience preferred.* 1-3 years' experience in a laboratory environment required.* Excellent written and verbal skills; Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, and regulatory agencies by exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills.* Ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team environment.* Ability to manage lab personnel effectively.* Results oriented and efficient.
