This role will be a part of the PL Business Insights Enablement
team. It will support Personal Lines data and reporting needs by
creating data sets in support of reporting and executing ad hoc
data requests. Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, R or other
data focused programing languages is required. Knowledge of
reporting tools like Tableau or PowerBI preferred.
This is a remote, work from home position.
The compensation range for this role is G4.
Nationwide pays based on a geographic-specific salary structure.
The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number
of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the
role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills,
education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate;
and other conditions of employment. If a Sales job, Sales
Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to
this range. The role may also be eligible for either short-term or
long-term incentive plans based on business and/or
position-specific results. Newly hired full-time associates receive
a minimum of 18 days paid time off each full calendar year,
pro-rated quarterly based on hire date. Newly hired full-time
associates at higher job levels may receive additional paid time
off. You will also receive 8 hours of Lifetime paid time off and 8
hours of Unity Day paid time off. The range for this role is listed
below.
In Washington, the salary range for Consultant, Business Insights
is $91,000.00 to $176,000.00.

As a Consultant, you'll lead financial and operational measurement
projects. You will consult with business partners to define,
structure and execute data and information projects. You'll create
statistical and visual solutions using advanced business
intelligence tools. You will lead the process of identifying and
executing appropriate research methodologies that provide
information in an understandable format.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director/Associate Vice
President and does not have direct reports.
Typical Skills And Experience
Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management
information, business, mathematics or related field with
post-graduate studies preferred.
Experience: Typically, eight or more years of experience in data
visualization, financial and operational measurement and
data-extraction queries. Detailed experience with data-extraction
problem solving; working with large structured and unstructured
data sets and databases to build understandable and relevant
measures. Professional experience in insurance, financial services
or a related industry preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: In-depth knowledge of business
policies and procedures, customer service concepts and practices.
Sophisticated understanding of creating and maintaining ad hoc and
standard reports, including data visualization and business
intelligence tools. Working knowledge to conduct data management
and extraction of data for functional and operational measurement.
Strong communication skills for interactions with others. Ability
to understand business processes and the data produced by them.
Ability to understand functional and operational measurement needs,
analyze data requests and interpret business problems into
solutions. Ability to work under tight time constraints. Capable of
developing distinctive and understandable data visualizations.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and
experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring
manager's leader and HR Business Partner.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional travel,
