Sr. Product Manager ? Digital Payments - Mobile

Job Description:

GENERAL FUNCTION:



Key leadership role in the Digital Payments group responsible for overseeing mobile payment solutions strategy execution, product management/development as necessary to meet both Fifth Thirds business and consumer customer needs. Responsible for working with existing Product Management and Product Development staff to ensure mobile channels are developed to meet the needs of customer and businesses served by the Payments organization. Responsible for developing the long term product and technical roadmap for mobile payments.  Critical to the successful and execution of this role is the ability to build positive relationships with other areas of the bank including IT, Operations, Corporate Lines of Business, Risk & Compliance Audit, Legal.  and affiliates throughout the Bancorp


 




ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


·         Product Development and Enhancement



  • Product development lifecycle ownership


  • Identify and Prioritize Product development Opportunities


  • Deploy Products to Market within Time Frame and Budget Established


  • Pricing, Profitability, Packaging, Promotion and Margin Management


  • Provide Product/Sales Consultative Role on Projects


  • Product Introduction to Market


  • Vendor Selection and Relations; Contract Negotiations (Business partners DP & Ops)


  • Oversight of development stakeholders (IT, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Partners, etc.)



·         Market Research and Analysis



  • Maintain and enhance knowledge, current and evolving concepts, practices, processes, laws/regulations, and technologies in payments market


  • Conduct Market Segment Studies – Product Development (Steering & Advisory)


  • Understand and Analyze Competition


  • Understand Buying Habits and Characteristics of Clients


  • Peer Group Analysis and Discussions


  • User Group Participation and Leadership
