Job Description:
As the Sr. Analyst, Radiology you will partner to lead, mentor,
and implement projects to support the operational needs of
Radiology as part of department strategy. You will field help desk
tickets, provide break fix support, review release notes for
upcoming updates and changes for current or future state platforms,
integrate and implement new systems, and more. An ideal candidate
for our Sr. Analyst, Radiology will be EPIC Radiant Certified or
have prior experience implementing applications and integrating
systems together.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
System knowledge & impact
Create and maintain technical specifications to detail out designs
for object development. Document testing in change tracking tool,
and create testing conditions and scripts that can be completed by
team members and end users. Produce job aids and training manuals
for end users to leverage when they are using the systems that are
being supported. Conduct training sessions and office hours to
provide end users additional learning options. Create training
documentation around technical solutions that can be used by team
members, and conduct mini-education sessions covering various
technical solutions, so team can leverage solutions for consistency
and re-usability.
Analysis
Learn the parts of the working framework, attend vendor training
classes, and review vendor documentation that can further develop
skills necessary to grow and build the solutions out. Actively look
for additional training opportunities that can be leveraged to
support the system such as SQL database skills, reporting, HTML
development, and additional object oriented programming solutions.
As new products get proposed or requested by the user community,
gain an understanding of the solutions, so they can be sufficiently
supported.
Technical support
Ensure outstanding end-user support is provided, including ongoing
monitoring of Service Level Agreements for incident management and
collaboration with other areas to ensure customer-centered incident
management and support. Adhere to and promote continual adoption of
change management policies and procedures. Model outstanding
customer service behavior, including timely and effective follow-up
with customers.
Provide support to end users when assistance is requested from the
existing help desk process, or one-on-one requests that can occur.
Leverage department tools to track and close out outstanding
issues. Capture enhancement requests and modifications in tracking
solution, so development tasks can be tracked and prioritized. Work
with software vendors to open support cases when solutions are not
obtainable by team, and when problem may require a change to the
base product. Schedule and coordinate patches and upgrades that are
delivered by the vendor. Coordinate necessary resources and
communicate impacts to the user community. Collaborate with other
team members as necessary to resolve issues and foster success with
the customer base. Mentor and assist team members when challenging
development tasks are requested, and conduct code reviews of
developed solutions.
Project management
Participate and lead projects and work with customers to capture
business needs and design solutions that will improve the overall
research compliance and sponsored research initiatives of the
hospital. Become a functional expert in the various software that
support the research. For those software solutions that allow for
modification and development, leverage the underlying tools to
drive efficiencies for the end users. Understand the patching and
change control process necessary to migrate objects from the
development environment to production for end user usage.
Thoroughly unit test developed solutions and work with end users
and team members to system test changes to the existing
environment. Develop ability to convert legacy data sets into the
active production system using the various methods available in the
software products. Develop interfaces between other systems as
necessary, and build upon existing use of DTS package solutions to
solve required integration points. Create data extract processes
that will result in a reporting data layer that can create a more
stable reporting solution and integrate into existing reporting
solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of
education and experience
5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline
Preferred:
Radiant Certification or other EPIC certification preferred
Experience with system integration implementation
Experience with the integration of other EHRs
