Estimator
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Estimator to join our growing team! The Estimator will be responsible for scoping out and analyzing project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for each project. A successful Estimator must have strong analytical and math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications while staying current with industry trends and standards to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.

Responsibilities for the Estimator:

• Analyze architectural and structural drawings and specifications to identify scope and complexity of work.
• Prepare accurate take-offs and material lists from drawings and specifications.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
• Create detailed cost estimates based on project requirements, including labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to prepare proposals and bids for potential projects.
• Review project plans and contracts to ensure all requirements are understood and included in the estimate.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of estimates, bids, and contracts.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate project costs to ensure they remain within budget and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Requirements of the Estimator:
  • Minimum 3+ years of Estimating experience for commercial and residential construction projects, preferably in the Division 8 (Doors, Frames, Hardware) industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction, materials, building codes and regulations
  • Proficient in Division 28 (Access Control, Security, Safety) products and the integration with door hardware is preferred
  • DHI Certifications (AHC, CDC, EHC, AOC) is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Proficient in estimating software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
