Job Description:

Purpose:Partner with assigned customers to ensure they have the right products at the right time in the right placement.Job Responsibilities:Order products that align with the needs of the customerResponsible for effectively displaying store productsResponsible for maintaining effective business relationships with customersResponsible for daily travel to customer locationsResponsible for arriving promptly at customer locations on assigned routes for serviceResponsible for rotating stock and removing out-of-code productsProcess merchandise returns and issue credits according to company policyEnsure the neat and orderly appearance of UNFI productsResponsible for product and/or delivery notifications to customersSell promotional and sales programs as assignedPerform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for the locationFollow through on customer product requestsKeep management informed of area activities and of any significant concernsAttend meetings as requiredProvides backup for other field sales representatives when neededPerforms other duties as assignedPerforms other relevant job duties as requiredJob Requirements:Education/Certifications:Valid driver's license necessaryAuto insurance levels that meet UNFI requirementsExperience:Prior customer service experience in a retail settingSystem implementation preferredKnowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:Excellent customer service skillsGood communication skillsTime management skills and attention to detailBasic math abilitiesAbility to work independentlyPhysical Environment/Demands:Daily travel is required and access to a vehicle is necessaryAbility to get in and out of the car multiple times per dayDrive to and from accounts safely in city, rural, and expressway conditionsAbility to set up displays, fixtures, shelving, and productsAble to tolerate exposure to store and warehouse conditions including wide variances in temperature, dust, and dirtAbility to lift up to 40 lbsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
